Dear Mr. Smith,
I’m Li Lin, a senior high school student. I’m writing to you asking for your help.
The other days, some of my classmates had a talk about our English learning and found a lot of problems in our study. Some of us are not interested at all. Although we learn English in the class, we do not use it outside the class, so we forget it as soon as we go home. Other students find it difficult to memorize all those new words, so in the tests, they can’t spell the words or write much. As a result, they may fail. Some of them are so shy to open their mouth to speak out their ideas that hey even want to give up.
As for me, I’m very keen on English and I’m one of the top students in the class. But still I feel always at a loss when I see strange words while reading a passage. I don’t know what to do with them. Besides, when I write an article, I have to spend a lot of time thinking of the words to be used.
