1. "Seize the Day"
making the most of the time they have now and taking advantage of the opportunities available in order to realize their goals.
This comes in many forms for the boys: Knox successfully calling up Chris and getting invited to a party; Neil auditioning for and landing a prominent role in “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.” One could argue that it’s the lesson that stays with the boys most, and the one that the administration is least happy to see the boys embracing.

2. Education.
The book articulates two competing theories about how young people should be educated: first, the process of rote memorization and blind obedience practiced by most teachers at Welton Academy (the “Welton way”); second, the process of training students to think for themselves (the “Keating way”).
Keating believes that students have innate passions and talents—his job, then, isn’t to pass on information to his students, but rather to help them cultivate the abilities they already have.

1. individual will and conformity
This is also the main conflict in the film, I also think that it can be represented as youth and maturity.
Mr. Keating is the only character who can walk between these two worlds.
