In the winter vacation, one of my happiest things is that I go back to my hometown and make fried piles with my grandmother. The fried pile is a traditional food made by our Hakka people during the New Year.
When the Spring Festival is approaching, my grandmother and I make pancakes together. Grandma first brought the stove made of iron bucket, lit the fire and put wood on it. Then put a big pot on it, pour oil on it, cut the materials for frying into strips and cut them into sections, and then pinch each section into a circle and put it into the oil pot.
I thought: it's too monotonous to make it into a circle. Why don't I make it into various shapes? So I kneaded the materials for frying into various shapes: love, diamond, square... and then carefully put them into the hot oil pan, and slowly turn them with chopsticks to make them not stick together. They rolled up and down in the oil pan, like a somersault.
When they are fried to golden brown, they will be fished up again, which makes me salivate. My mother saw that I wanted to eat, so she let me taste one. Ah! It is sweet and soft. It's delicious! It took us about three hours to finish all the frying. This day was the happiest day in my winter vacation. I learned to make pancakes and tasted the fruits of my work.

On the night of New Year's Eve, we came to Grandma's house and sat in the living room for a while. My uncle was there, too. I said excitedly, "OK!" In fact, I am even happier than them.
