　　吸烟有害健康，多么熟悉的一句话啊，几乎全世界的人都知道。但为什么全球还有1300000000人吸烟呢？

　　烟绝对不是好东西。吸食过烟的人，均会上瘾，吸过还想吸。烟草燃烧会产生大量有毒物质，如尼古丁、一氧化碳、焦油等有害物质。也许你对这些词很陌生，那么我问你，砒霜你们应该知道吧，香烟里就有这东西！它们会导致你恶心、眩晕、头痛。尼古丁只需10秒钟就可进入你的大脑，使你心跳加快，增加你患上心脏病的危险，同时使你在不吸烟时引发脱瘾症状。一氧化碳可取代人体内15%由血红球负责输送的氧气，造成气喘、体力不足，还会增加心脏病爆发的可能性。焦油中含有很多致癌物质和其他化学物质。包括DDT、砒霜、甲西醛以及加外4000种有害物质与致癌物质。香烟中这些物质不但可引起咽喉炎、支气管炎，而且有致癌的作用。

　　也许你会说：“我又不抽烟，何必告诉我这些东西呢？”那么你就大错特错了。其实，由于我们周边有许多吸烟者“吞云吐雾”。他们在“吐雾”的时候，会将香烟里的有害物质释放出来，于是我们就会陷入一种叫“被动吸烟”(或“二手烟”)的状态。被动吸烟是指不愿吸烟的人无可奈何地吸入别人吐出来的带有毒性物质的空气，可能遭到与吸烟者同样的病症。在日常生活中绝大多数人不可能完全避免接触烟雾，因而成为被动吸烟者。因此我们要提醒周围的人不要吸烟，并帮助吸烟者戒烟。

　　在这里，我要呼吁大家创造一个无烟环境。吸烟的危害和上瘾度不亚于毒品，而且吸烟的影响力很大(二手烟)。最严重的是，吸烟的人数实在是太多了。光是中国就有350000000人吸烟，每年会有13400人死于吸烟！就是因为这点，我们就一定要创造一个无烟环境。戒烟不是难事，只要有坚强的意志力，适当时用戒烟药品来帮助，我相信一定能戒烟成功。

　　创建一个无烟校园。这不仅仅是不吸烟、不沾烟的问题，还要做好无烟宣传，要通过各种方式，告知社会各界吸烟的危害，让烟从我们的视野中慢慢地消失，这才是真正成功的无烟校园。我期盼着，这一日能够早点到来！

　　Smoking is bad for your health. What a familiar phrase. Almost everyone in the world knows. But why are 1300000 people smoking around the world?

　　You might say, "I don't smoke. Why tell me these things?" Then you're dead wrong. As a matter of fact, there are many smokers in our neighborhood who smoke. They are "spit fog", will release the harmful substances in the cigarettes, so we would get into one, called "passive smoking" (or "secondhand smoke"). Passive smoking refers to the fact that people who don't want to smoke can inhale the toxic air that people throw up, and they may suffer the same symptoms as smokers. It is impossible for most people in daily life to avoid exposure to smoke altogether and become passive smokers. So we need to remind people around us not to smoke and help smokers quit.

　　Here, I urge you to create a smoke-free environment. Smoking is no less harmful and addictive than drugs, and smoking has a lot of influence (second-hand smoke). Worst of all, there are too many smokers. In China alone, 350000000 people smoke, and 13,400 people die every year from smoking! Because of this, we must create a smoke-free environment. It's easy to quit smoking, so long as you have a strong will and when it's appropriate to use the medicine to stop smoking, I'm sure you can quit smoking.

　　Create a smoke-free campus. This is not only the problem of not smoking, not smoke, need to get a smoke-free propaganda, through a variety of ways, inform the social from all walks of life of the dangers of smoking, let the smoke slowly disappear from our field of vision, and this is the real success of smoke-free schools.
