January sees the great snowfall which changes our lives, to a great extent. It has been snowing all through the winter, and let share my ideas of it with you.
To my joy, the now brings my childhood back to me. How I miss the golden days when I could rush down the streets and make Mr. snow! Those days, I have really enjoyed myself and feel refreshed and energetic!
Also, problems come with joy. The smooth streets made it rather hard to move a bit. I was lucky to admire the beautiful scene outside my classroom in the morning because of my late arrival! The clock went punctually and I set off from my home at the right time. It was the snow that hold me back and also other people.
As a saying goes: “Spirits appear during catastrophe.” Masses of classmates went spontaneously to clean snow and it inspired my class a lot and we were united fimly.
The snow bringing both advantages and disadvantages will always leave the unclearable memory in my mind…

Nevertheless, bad effects have also arisen from the heavy snow, especially effects on traffic. With all the flights cancelled and most ships grounded, hundreds of passengers are being left where they are, having nothing to do but wait. Fortunately, immediate measures have been taken by the government and relevant departments. All the citizens are encouraged to spare no efforts to clear the roads.
As a consequence, everything has returned to normal now, leaving the happy memory in our mind.

So far, heavy snows have frequently hit North China, which not only promise a good harvest in the coming year, but also bring us fresh air. Moreover, children can go out to enjoy the perfect playtime, building snowmen and having snowball fights.

Today the quality of our natural environment has become an important issue. The world population is rising so quickly that the world has become too crowded.

We are using up our natural resources and at the same time polluting our environment with dangerous chemicals. If we continue to do this, life on earth cannot survive.

Concerned people have made some progress in environmental protection. Governments of many countries have established laws to protect the air, forests and sea resources and to stop environmental pollution.

Still more measures should be taken to solve environmental problems. People should be further educated to recognize the importance of the problems, to use modern methods of birth control, to conserve our natural resources and recycle our products. We are sure that we can have a better and cleaner place in the future.
