This article is about the basic knowledge and the parameters of computer hardware, which is very helpful in better understanding of the hardware knowledge. The first chapter is a general overview of the hardware knowledge; it mainly dwells on the developments and components of computers, the understanding of its history and future development trend. Beginning from chapter two, the six major components of a computer are described in details: CPU, main board, memory, video card, hard disk and power supply; the performance parameters and some basic structures of all these components are meticulously explained. We also list out the formula calculation of bandwidth design procedures for the main board, video card and memory. With these calculation formulas, we shall understand how to maximize the optimum performance of every component by the proper matchings of the hardware.

The power supply of computer is discussed in chapter seven; it is equivalent to the heart of a computer, without sufficient power from the supply, it is still no good no matter how matching are the components; but if the power is too high, it will be resource wastage. The ultimate objective of this article is to recommend ways on how to configure a computer with optimum cost effectiveness by explaining the performances of the various components.

This is some basic knowledge of computer hardware, the parameters and better understanding of our hardware knowledge to have the help very much, the first chapter is summarized, and the whole hardware knowledge is mainly composed of computer development and talking. To understand the history of computers and future development trend of computer. From the second chapter began the detailed introduction of six parts: the computer motherboard, memory and CPU, graphics, hard disk and power. Detailed introduces the performance parameters of the components, and some basic structure. In the motherboard, graphics and memory, we also listed the calculation formula for calculating the bandwidth of these components. Reasons
for
this

meaning
of

habits
for

solution

should
