在as作关系代词引导限制性定语从句的时候，可在从句中作主语或宾语或表语的成分

例如：

1. We have found such materials【 as 】are used in their factory.

2. Such people 【 as 】were mentioned by him were honest.

3. As many children 【 as 】 came were given some cakes.
   

4. These houses are sold at such a low price【 as 】people expected.

5. He is not the same man【 as 】he was.

在第1句、第2句、第3句中as作主语，第4句中作宾语，第5句中as作表语。

在题主的句子中，如果用as的话就是作从句里面的主语成分，是可以的，但是这种用as来代替人的用法比较少见，一般as是用来代替物和事情的比较多，除非是前面有such或者别的短语结构在句子中，否则不常用as在限制性定语从句中来代替人，用作主语代替人还是建议用who比较多。
