聋哑的英语是：deaf-mute。

聋哑大多为热病后遗,但有先天所致者。大多先耳聋而致口哑；耳聋又不会说话。是一种由于在学会说话前严重耳聋，妨碍语言学习所造成的疾病。分先天性聋哑和后天性聋哑两种。
