在近代，由于帝国主义不断地加深对中国的侵略，使中国社会发生了两种根本性的变化：一是独立的中国变为半殖民地的中国，一是封建的社会变成了半封建社会。概括起来，中国近代史，是中国逐步沦为半殖民地半封建社会的屈辱史；也是中国人民为争取民族独立和社会进步，坚持反帝反封建斗争，并在中国共产党领导下取得新民主主义革命胜利的历史。中国现代史是指1949年10月中华人民共和国成立至今历史，，分为新民主主义社会（此期从1949年10月新中国建立到1956年底三大改造基本完成）与社会主义社会（1956年底至今）两大历史时期。

Chinese people won the new democracy at last. Contemporary History of China was began with the foudation of The People's Republic of China in 1949 to now. It was also divided into two period,the New Democracy Society(from the foundation of new China on Oct,1949 to the end of 1956 the three great remould have been finished) and the Socialist Society(from 1956 to today). 累坏我也！
