其中主句的主语是the accident and the damage,而且the damage被后面的定语从句____ resutled in所修饰.
再看这个定语从句.关系代词代替先行词the damage,作为介词in的宾语,所以该关系代词可以省略,但是该定语从句缺少主语,所以选择it.而it所指代的就是前面的另一个主语the accident.
