弗罗多：可惜比尔博没杀了他。
Gandalf:Pity?It is pity that stayed Bilbo's hand.Many that live deserve death.Some that die deserve life.Can you give it to them,Frodo?Do not be too eager to deal out death and judgment.Even the very wise cannot see all ends.
甘道夫：可惜？比尔博是可怜他才没杀了他。有很多活人本来就该死，也有些死人本来也命不该绝。你能做这种判断吗，弗罗多？千万别轻易断定别人的生死，就连智者都无法决定命运。
2、Galadriel:This task was appointed to you.And if you do not find a way,no one will.
凯兰崔尔女王：这是你的天命。如果你办不到，也没有人可以。
Frodo:Then I know what I must do.It's just...I'm afraid to do it.
弗罗多：我知道该怎么做了。只是……我感到害怕。
Galadriel:Even the smallest person can change the course of the future.
凯兰崔尔女王：再渺小的人也能改变未来。
3、Frodo:I wish the Ring had never come to me.I wish none of this had happened.
弗罗多：我真希望魔戒没在我手中，真希望这一切都没发生。
Gandalf:So do all who live to see such times but that is not for them to decide.All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you.
甘道夫：每个人遇到难关都会这么想，但我们无法决定自己的命运。你只能在一定的时间内决定如何去做。
4、Faramir:I think at last we understand on another,Frodo Baggins.
法拉米尔：我终于了解了你的伟大使命，弗罗多巴金斯。
Subordinate:You know the laws of our country,the laws of your father.If you let them go,your life will be forfeit.
部下：你很清楚我国的法律，你父王的命令。如果你把他们放走，就会被处死。
Faramir:Then it is forfeit.Release them.
法拉米尔：那么我宁愿死。放了他们。
5、Sam:Captain Faramir,you have shown your quality,sir.The very highest.
山姆：法拉米尔将军，你证明了自己的能力和最高尚的品德。
Faramir:The Shire must truly be a great realm,Master Gamgee,where gardeners are held in high honor.
法拉米尔：夏尔一定是一个好地方，连一个园丁都这么伟大。
