In the contemporary society, the incidence of criminal act is increasing at a staggering rate. Some reporters assert that more and more convicts who were once sent into jail have the strong possibility to commit crime again after they released from the prison. In my opinion, I quite agree with what they said.
To be honest, I have to admit that some of the criminals indeed reform themselves, however, it is no exaggeration to say that there are still a large part of them would commit offence again. This phenomenon is due to both the internal and external reasons.
The internal reason is that the criminals’ dearth of self-discipline. When they leave the prison, they would meet a variety of individuals in society, such as their former friends and classmates, or even the unruly ones. Therefore, if they do not have strong sense of self-control, they are easily accessible to act crime again.
In addition, the external reason is because of the discrimination from other individuals in society. A lot of citizens despise the criminals even if they have set free from the prisons. They believe they are still hazardous. Consequently, it is adverse to them to adapt their new life. Moreover, a great number of them do not have their own career. In order to continue their livings, some of them have no choice but to commit crime again.
From the above reasons, there are two corresponding solutions to the phenomenon, in which should everyone in society pay more attention to. The first one is that the government should reinforce the education of the inmates’ conception and make them have the strong sense of obligation. So after they leave the prison, they would able to keep the high self-consciousness that they have learned before, and help them to avoid the dangerous temptation. The other remedy for it is the responsibility of society. All of us in the same global family should give the criminals more human nature logo, which partly means that we should give them a hand to find a suitable job rather than despising them.
