He suggested that the opening day of “Xu Travels” should be China Tourism Day for China holiday. So the State Council issued “the views on accelerating the development of tourism”, proposed to set up the “China Tourism Day” on December 1, 2009. The State Council officially launched related work on December 4, 2009 for China holiday. On March 30, 2011, the State Council passed a resolution to decide that every May 19 is China Tourism Day from 2011 for China holiday.
