When I first started to learn English, I didn’t like it because it was so hard. But now I’m good at it, and it’s all because of a young 36 lady.
I first met her one day six years ago when I went to an English lesson. It was 37 to have a pretty foreign lady for a teacher.
At the very beginning of the lesson, she smiled at us and said, “Hello, today we’re going to learn some animal words. Do you like animals? I like animals very much. For example, I like dogs, cats, fish and lots of others.”
Then she took out some 38 and gave one to each of us. She wanted us to look at the animals on the cards carefully and draw them on the blackboard one by one. Then she would teach us the English 39 for them. There was a bee on my card.
When it was my turn, I went to the blackboard and thought for a minute 40 I started to draw. I could feel the other students looking at me from 41 . It made me 42 . I looked at the teacher, and she gave me a smile. She seemed to be saying to me, “I believe you can do it!”
After looking at her, I didn’t feel so nervous any more. I tried my best and drew a big bee on the blackboard.
“It’s pretty good,” my teacher said when I had finished. She used her hands to show us how bees 43 . I felt 44 when I looked at my own picture on the blackboard. It made me want to learn “bee,” and also lots of other words for animals.
That young Canadian lady’s class was the most 45 one in my life.
I never got the chance to ask her what her name is, and now she has gone back to Canada. But every time I have English lessons, I think of her and her sweet smiles just for me.
