Good morning,everyone!Today,I'll say something about Unit 7 Part A in book of Oxford Primary English.Background on the reformation of curriculum, this book can connect the life and act ,emphasize the interest and experience of the students ,the pictures are active and vivid .It is very important to develop their keen interest in English.
I.Contents:
Today I'm going to talk about Part A of Unit 7 ,Oxford English ,Book 1.This lesson includes 2 parts :Let's talk and let's practise.In section 1,it mainly deals with the chant about "Festival" and some new words .And in section 2,it provides some pictures of festivals for students to know much about Halloween(万圣节),Christmas and so on. Then practise the pattern:Merry Christmas !Happy Spring festival! Here is a gift for you !The same to you!
II.Teaching aims:
Aims on knowledge.
Enable students to describe festivals and go to people's house and let students know a lot about some Western festivals ,such as Halloween ,Christmas.
Let students know the exact dates of festivals.
Aims on the abilities.
Develop students' abilities of listening and speaking.
Foster (培养) students' abilities of communication ,their faculties of memory and imaginary.
Aims on the emotion.
Foster students' consciousness of good co-operation and proper competition.
Lead students to show their enthusiasm to the classmates ,teachers and relatives.
III.Key points and difficult points.
Songs,Poems and Chants
Recite the months of the years
Develop students' interest in English
Help the students ask and answer questions:"When is Halloween\Christmas\Spring Festival.....?" and make sure they can know these clearly.
Learn to greet each other.
IV.Teaching Methods
As we all know: the main instructional aims of learning English in primary school is to cultivate pupils' basic abilities of listening and speaking and their good sense of the English language.So in this lesson I'll mainly use"Task-based"teaching method.That is to say,I'll let the students learn in read situations ,according to looking at the pictures of festivals, let them know a lot about western festivals and know how to celebrate them. I'll arrange some kinds of activities :singing,chanting,discussing and having a story. And in this lesson ,I'll use a tape ,crayon(简笔画) ,a toy and some pictures
V.Teaching procedures, homework and purpose of my desigining
I'll finish this lesson in 3 steps.
Step 1 Greeting
Step 2 Presentation
Lead-in:talk about festivals
Warm-up:chants and songs
Point to something red in the pictures,let students know about Halloween
Ask questions.Let students know the details of Halloween
Take out of a picture of autumn and Halloween
Ask questions.Let students know about the exact dates of festivals
7.Take out the toy Santa Claus,let students say "Merry Christmas !Here a gift for you!The same to you..."

Step 3 `Practice
Divide the whole students into 4 groups to have a competition .Let them say the sentences: Merry Christmas.......
Purpose:To let the students learn and grasp the meanings much easier .Proper competition can arouse the students' interest in English learning.
Read for pleasure,these stories can be used in different ways .Make sure that students set the scene of story.
Stop reading the story before reaching the end and have students predict how the story will finish.
Homewok

In a word , the whole period is based on tasks .When the students are thinking about the questions of date,this can acquire information,knowledge and have their abilities and skills trained.
