2、While we were getting off the train there was an announcement that the boat had not arrived yet from Ireland and there would be a dalay.问题是：①.为什么用were getting 而不是got，下车不是一个比较短的过程吗？难道还能一直在下火车？！②.had not arrived 那里为什么不用would not arrive，不是过去将来时吗？

1 你貌似打错了。to say还是to resign ? overhear sb do sth (主动语态，没有to )----- be overheard to do sth (被动语态，必须有to )
2 were getting ------进行时表将来，解释为“快要下车的时候”。
3 had not arrived -------解释为“还没有到站”
would not arrive------- 解释为“永远不会到站”
