I used to hate studying English and my scores always belonged to the last ones. I really wanted to give up. One day, when I was having an English class, my mind was thinking about other things. Then Mr. Smith asked me to answer his question. I just did not know what to say. I was very afraid of being laughed at. The he led me to the answer. At last, I made it. I was quite happy. My teacher praised and encouraged me that if I was more careful, I could do much better. I became confident and made great progress. However, I was a little embarrassed, for I had thought that my teacher did not like me.
