How to Cope with Up-tempo Living
In today's increasingly competitive society, the tempo of people's living is
speeding up and more and more urban citizens find it hard to adapt themselves to the
fast pace of life. Under the great stress of fast living, they feel that they are
more time-driven and rushed than ever before. Some of them are distressed by "quick
rhythm syndrome", which adversely affects them psychologically and physiologically.
It is true that up-tempo living has brought us some negative effects, but, in my
opinion, it does not make us victims. As a matter of fact, many people seem to prefer
a life of speed to dawdling in the slow lane. To a certain extent, up-tempo living
reflects the progress and civilization of the modern society. A faster lifestyle has
promoted the advancements of technolgies, which greatly facilitate our work, study
and life.
In my opinion, the key to the issue lies in the attitude we take towards up-tempo
living. Good management can help us cope with faster lives. First and formost, we
should decelerate the pace of life by adjusting our perspective,and learn to reduce
the pressure and burden for ourselves. Besides, we should arrange our lives
rationally and learn to relax ourselves and enjoy ourselves at leisure time.
Rhythmically to adjust ourselves is good for both physical and mental health. It is
also important to keep ourselves open-minded and optimistic towards everything in our
lives. If we can adjust our pace well, we will surely live more happily in the faster
lives.

依我看来,问题的关键在于我们对快节奏生活的态度。好的自我管理可以帮助我们应付节奏越
来越快的生活。首先,也是最重要的,我们可以通过调整我们的视角来放慢生活步伐,学会自己减压减负。另外,要合理安排生活,学会放松闲暇,调节劳逸对心身健康非常有益。对我们生活中
的事物保持豁达开朗和乐观精神同样也很重要。如果我们能够调整好节奏,我们就一定能在快节
奏生活中生活得更幸福。
