I have learned your problem .making kite is a traditonal manual craft. it has a long history and contains deep meaning .I think you should let your mom know more about the kite's advantage. In my opinion .the reason why your mom don't agree with you on collecting kites is that she think it is useless . so the best way to solve your problem is to prove it to your mom. for example , find some real cases that gain benefits from collecting kites.
