很简单，记住一点就行：
lots of 只能修饰可数名词，a lot of 既可修饰可数名词，也可修饰不可数名词。
如：There are lots of (a lot of) books on the shelf. 两个都可用。
There is a lot of water in the bottle. 只能用a lot of
