如楼上所说，这是分词的独立主格结构。这里carried out过去分词做状语，而分词的逻辑主语是none of them,并非句子的主语they,这就是独立主格。如：Weather permitting, we'll go there on foot.
你给出了一道类似的题，这个题就是定语从句了。第一个题目根本不是从句，所以只有在第二题里，才能讨论从句的关系代词。what一般不引导定语从句，而是作为名词性从句的关系代词。

我觉得没有none of what这种说法的呀。
