一道SAT语法题求助！！！

是一道划线改错题，划线部分是：of，in his，certain和elucidate。
答案说是elucidate错。请问为什么是elucidate？

应该去e加ing，be used to doing 表示“习惯于”，后留跟名词或动名词，be也可用get等代替。be used to 如后跟动词原形，表式"被用于",用于被动语态度中。at certain times作为定语已经说明了应该是一个习惯或者约定俗成的。
