Admittedly there are some arguments in favor of the installation of the new industrial plant close to my neighborhood; however, I am totally against the announcement of the company. The bases of my opposition will be explained below.

In the first place, were the project of an industrial establishment to develop near my community, the unemployment rate would descend and the immigration rate would boost. People from many places would come not only to work in the construction of the brand-new building but also to operate the factory when it would start running.

What is more, other businesses would establish too, improving the economy of the area where I live. In fact, other close neighborhoods would be benefited from this development as well.

Although the expected economic growth, things appear to look pretty different from an ecological point of view. Since the implementation of this project would imply a huge change in the environment. For example, a land full of trees would be deserted, therefore, those animals which live in that area would have to move or disappear.

In addition, running a factory in a residential zone, as it is my community, would pollute the land, the water and the air. This potential contamination would affect my neighbors’ and my family’s lives. Therefore, the increasing rate of pollution would implicate a significant raise in the cost of health.

In conclusion, although more people would get a job and more businesses would develop nearby, the disadvantages seem to overweight the advantages, because my community would lose its fauna and flora and the health of our people would deteriorate due to the pollution.

Bearing in mind all the above mentioned, I would disagree with the installation of the new factory, since I do care about the well-being of my community and the nature that surrenders it. So, the company should pay close attention to these issues if it decides to go ahead with its industrial building project.

I live in a primarily agricultural community, and most of the population live hand to mouth. Parents keep children home from school to work in the field, and if there is a flood and drought, people starve. A new factory would mean regular monthly salaries as well as protection against natural disasters. Or a sudden drop in the prices of on our main agriculture product, say, corn. Regular salary would allow a family confidence to make investment in their future. The locals would be able to plan their finances accurately and free themselves from debt. The in turn will encourage entrepreneurship and further develop the local economy.

People could begin to open shops, restaurants, dormitories and entertainment facilities to serve the factory workers with their savings. Profits from these small enterprises would further enrich the local community and turn our relatively poor farmland into a truly profitable development zoon. Perhaps more parent could than afford to send all of their children to high school and maybe even college.

There would certainly be negative effect as well. If the area becomes prosperous, immigrants from poor region will come here looking for work. Because of their relatively poverties, their will work harder for less money than the locals and draw wages down. There might be more immigrants than factory jobs available leading to a unemployment crises with a rising crime rate as a potential negative side effect.

On the other hand, the proposed factory may have certainly adverse effect on the local environment. Particularly in regards to polluting the water, this is perhaps the most seriously concern. Because the polluted water, the area cannot sustain life of any kind, corn, livestock or a human.

However, because of the relatively desperate economic situation in my hometown, I believe the potential benefit of opening a new factory may outweigh the risks. If we take the proper precaution, such as imposing stirct environmental standars and providing edequate social servises for immigrants, the whole area stands to benifit.
