thanks与thank you 是一样的
thank后跟某人某物表示感谢某人某物
例 thank him to help me 感谢他帮助我
I thank you that you have done this for me.
谢谢你替我做完了这件事。
To my shame, I never thanked him for his kindness.
我感到惭愧的是对他的好意我从未表示过感谢。
Thank heaven it only lasts an hour.
谢天谢地, 这只持续了一小时。
不能回答congratulations！！
应回答you are welcome （不客气）
congratulations意为恭喜恭喜，对某人表示祝贺时使用
如果别人对你说congratulations ，你应回答 thank you 或thanks
也可回答 you too（同喜同喜）
