I'm from England and while away in another country to take part in a concert, I had my handbag stolen!

The money my friend and I needed to pay for our hotel and following moring and the money to get back home was in the bag. It left us in an awful trouble!

While looking for the bed and breakfast we were staying in, I stopped at a taxi rank to ask for directions.

On hearing about what had happened one of the drivers offered to take us there for freee. Seeing us get to the hotel safely, he drove off -- then came back and dropped $100 out the taxi window for us. At first we refused to take it. He inisted, and told us he had been in a similar situation once and someone had helped him. When we asked for a phone number or an address so that we could return the money, the driver only answered, "Don't pay it back -- pay it forward!"
So, we did!
