第一个问题，在你国家里，人们拥有怎么样的东西能够彰显他们的地位？
Well， in China, the possession of cars can demonstrate people’s social status. The average price of a car ranges from 150 thousand to 25 thousand RMB, so considering the average monthly income per person is just, say, 2500RMB, cars are affordable for those who have a well-paid job or come from a wealthy family. Therefore, to own a car can, to a great extent, show that a person is with great financial power and hence high social status.
第二个问题，这一观念跟你祖父母的年代是不是不一样的？
Yes， definitely. As for people of grandparents’ generation, working hard was the only symbol of status. they adopted a motto, “劳动最光荣”. In English, it means that only those who work hard can receive the greatest respect and honor from others， and those who don’t work or don’t work hard should feel ashamed of themselves.
第二题注：其实雅思当中遇到不会翻译的中文语句时候，可以大胆地用中文，然后再用英文把意思大概表述出来就可以了，而且这样还可以适度地吸引考官的注意哦。
