According to the model of constructivism, knowledge is constructed by oneself instead of being transmitted by other people.However, the construction takes place in the environment of interpersonal communication as a result of social interaction.This model affirms the effect of four factors, namely, the student, the teacher, task and environment, on learning process, with the subject of construction——the student——in the centre of the process.The other three factors play the roles of mediation and serve as the learning environment.They are the key factors in the learner's construction of knowledge. All four factors are corelated and interactive.
