1. 答案E也正确。
关系代词which/that都可以指代物体the hours，在定语从句中充当spend的宾语，而且可以省略。
即：(which/that) the children spend in their one-way relationship with televsion people
= the children spend (which/that) in their one-way relationship with televsion people
= the children spend (the hours) in their one-way relationship with televsion people

2. 答案E不正确。
两者的关系是：whose + 名词 = of which/whom + the + 名词 = the + 名词 + of which/whom.
如果在overall consumption前面加上the，就可以选E了。
即：whose overall consumption is significantly higher than that of women
= beer's overall consumption is significantly higher than that of women
= of which the overall consumption is significantly higher than that of women
= the overall consumption of which is significantly higher than that of women
= the overall consumption of beer is significantly higher than that of women

3. 答案E不正确。
只能是说whose引导的定语从句可以用of结构来变化，不能说所有的of which结构的定语从句都可以用whose来变化。
即：of which 10,000 acres are irrigated fields
= 10,000 acres of which are irrigated fields
= 10,000 acres of the 13,000 acres are irrigated fields

补充：关键是楼主可能没有搞清关系代词which和whose的真正功能。
which在限制性定语从句中，可以直接换写成先行词（即被定语从句所修饰的名词/代词），并在定语从句中充当一定的成分，一般是主语/宾语；
而whose等同于先行词的所有格形式，即其's形式，在定语从句中只能充当定语，修饰从句中的某一个名词。
