Dear Jenny:

I am sorry that I couldn't go to your birthday party last night. My grandfather had a sudden heart attack and I had to take him to the hospital. He is now hospitalised and I have to look after him. I asked James to bring you my present. I hope you like it and I am really sorry that I wasn't there on your birthday part.
