In May 1983,25 years ago,Koma Huang and Yip Sai Wing—two Young men,met together in a studio in HK.They were interested in each other and talked together.then they felt that they had the same hobby—music.Koma said that he was good at playing guitar and Ye said he could play drums.Later,they made a good decision—make up a band,then they made up a band with another young man—Wu Lin.A friend of Koma named Liu Zhiyuan named their band “BEYOND”,it meant “overstep”.At first,they sang English songs and made some albums but not so successful.In 1984,Koma’s younger brother—Wong Ka kui joined their band as a bass player,then the band was made up by 4 people.
