Xian Xinghai is one of the great composers of classical and traditional music. He was born in Maco, China in 1905 and died young in 1945 when he was only 40 years old. He studied in Paris when he was young. Then he got famous. He was famous for the song The Yellow River which he wrote in 1939. He was called the "People's Musician" and his songs are still popular today.
