由于后边已经提出word(不是work吧)"many",而a是这个单词里边的,所以要用the,表示这一个,而不是随便一个

2 stop sth doing是个固定用法,表示阻止某物做某事.而沙是要越过长城朝向农田,有个前进,向前的过程,所以用towards

加上连词符的一般做定语~~~这里不是
