首先，这是一个主从句，主从句之间要用逗号连接，而不是句号或是分号，据此可以排除difficult. （句号）Regardless of whether和difficult; （分号）whether or not 这两项。

其次，whether是连词，表示“不管，不论”发生什么情况，连接前后两个分句。而regardless of whether....总体来看是介词短语，即whether引导的从句做regardless of的宾语，并非一个句子，造成语法错误。事实上，regardless of whether...这种表达在语法上是不能接受的，要表达同样的意思可以用：“regardless of...”或者“whether or not”。

例如：

I shall go regardless of the weather.

whether or not表意错误 意思是无论你想当musician还是...，当best都很难，whether or not 就是无论你想当与否，如果不想当的话就和前面没关系了。
