means在这里是单复同行的 ，只有means表方式方法 ，mean不表示方式 。。

我只能说是习惯搭配丫 。。

confused在这里是形容词，是“困惑的”的意思，make后面动词的态要看动作
本身是主动还是被动，如果主动就用动词本身，如：what she said made us feel confused。 被动就用过去分词，如：make yourself heard就是make yourself be heard，被别人听到。。

his work 被完成了，所以用分词。。

consist of表示由。。组成。。 不需要被动

in spite of 不管，虽然，是连词，后面可接名词，名词短语，从句
I went out in spite of the rain.
顺便提一下意思差不多的despite介词，后面直接接名词，名词短语
they had a wonderful day， despite the bad weather。
