为什么older前面没有谓语动词，能允许这样吗？

consider the fact为主句，祈使句；that到最后为同位语从句。同位语从句中主要结构是for..., every one...has been (后接2个形容词短语和一个过去分词短语。older...为形容词短语作后置定语，修饰period，相当于从句(a period of time) which is older。
