What is language for? Some people seem to think it’s for practicing grammar rules and learning lists of words — the longer the words the better. That’s wrong. Language is for the exchange of ideas, for communication.

Practice tenses as much as possible. When you learn a new verb, learn its various forms.
Also, you should learn more about the culture behind the language. When you understand the cultural background, you can better use the language.
If you do these things, you will not only have fun and learn English. If you see that a new English word lets you understand your favorite TV show (or communicate with people, or beat a computer game), you will want to learn more words. So you will learn English more and use it more. If you also use effective learning methods, your English will grow faster than you can imagine.
