Lesson 22 A glass envelope

课文内容：

My daughter, Jane, never dreamed of receiving a letter from a girl of her own age in Holland. Last year, we were traveling across the Channel and Jane put a piece of paper with her name and address on it into a bottle. She threw the bottle into the sea. She never thought of it again, but ten months later, she received a letter from a girl in Holland. Both girls write to each other regularly now. However, they have decided to use the post office. Letters will cost a little more, but they will certainly travel faster.

语言点 比较spends cost, take
1) sb. spend +时间+(in) doing sth. 某人在某事上花费时间
2) sb. spend +金钱+ on sth. 某人在某物i花钱
例如：He spent six hours reading this book.他花了6个小时读这本书。
We spent an hour learning Lesson 22.我们花了一个小时学习第22 课。
I spent 10 yuan in buying / on a notebook.我花 10元钱买了一个笔记本。
3) sth. cost sb. + 金钱 某物花了某人多少钱
This television cost me 2,000 yuan.这台电视花了我2000元。
本课中 cost a little more 后省去了 money。
4) sth. take +时间 某事占用时间
Reading this book took me six hours.读这本书花了我6个小时。
It took me a month to learn New Concept English Book 2.
学习《新概念英语》2册用 了我一 个月的时间。
