repeater中的样式可以自己定义,而gridview和datalist是以表格的形式输出的,asp页面在解析成html代码时较慢,而repeater中的格式可以任意定义,效率较高

可以。xml本来就是字符串。 具体方法网上搜一下吧,几句话讲不清楚,但也不复杂。
