1.The odds are in our favour.(什么意思呢？ 固定用are?)
2.The mansions in which the flat was situated was a comparatively small one.(为什么用was当主句谓语？)
3.The Alps cover an area of 200,000 square kilometers and is the greatest mountain range in Europe.(前面的用动词cover是不是因为alps翻译成阿尔卑斯山脉？)

2 mansions 应该是特指某个古宅建筑群，注意，后面也用的是small one。
3 Alps 只是恰好尾字母是s，并不是语法上的复数。 菲律宾是the Philippines 谓语还不是要用单数
