As the saying goes, chance favors the prepared mind. I learned this from one of my experiences.

I was not chosen as a member of the volleyball team of our school. Beacuse of this, I decided to give up playing volleyball. Luckily, my best friend stopped me and pointed out that it was my laziness and poor perparation which led to my failure.

After that, I practiced playing volleyball every day.(去掉 on) When another tryout arrived, I was fully prepared and tried my best. As a result, I was selected and became an improtant player on our school team.

From this, I am firmly convinced that we are able to seize the chance as long as we get well prepared.
