Words I will Never Forget
In the back of my memory I have heard so many words, they are as countless as grains of sand on a beach, some words have been forgotten, some words are only faintly remembered, and some words have stayed with me for a long time.
I remember the time when there was very little homework and I finished it quickly and started playing with my sticker book. Just as I was getting excited, I heard my mother's spoiling words in my ear, "Did you do your oral arithmetic book today?" I remembered that I hadn't done my sticker book yet, but I just didn't feel like it.
So I ignored my mum's words and continued to play with my sticker book. Shortly afterwards, my mother came to me and said in a serious voice, "You learn for yourself, not for others." With that, she turned and walked away, while I was left alone.
When I thought about it carefully, I thought that what my mother said made sense. Learning was for myself, so that I would have a wealth of knowledge and a bright future, so that I could be a useful person to society in the future. So, I quickly took my calculator and did it carefully.
Whenever I was lazy and didn't want to study, it would tell me, "Don't you want to make your grades better?" Whenever I was angry because I had too much homework, it would tell me, "Come on, don't be angry, you can do it!" Whenever I get mad at a problem, it tells me, "Think carefully, you'll get it!"
"You learn for yourself, not for others." This phrase always rings in my ears and it reminds me of it all the time, so that I can never forget it.
