燕子姐您好，有几个关于时态的句子想请教下你、十分感谢

1:一Leon,where did you guys go for the summer vacation?
一we__busy with our work for montus,so we went to the beach to relax ourselves. 这个一问一答的答案是have been. 但是下面这个题答案又是 had began eg: 一did the film begin on time? 一yes,the film had began 5 minutes earlier. 我有些混淆，同样是发生在过去并且都是一问一答，怎么答案一个是现在完成而另一个是过去完成？？

2：一what were you doing when Tony phoned you?
一i had just finished my work and__A_to take a shower A was starting B would started
这个题答案是A 但是B也是读的通为什么就不选呢？？

第一题用过去完成时had been busy才对，因为went to the beach 是过去发生的事，忙工作又在went to the beach之前，考虑是不是答案错了，因为这题和一零年的一道高考真题很相似，只不过Leon换成了其他名字，答案就是过去完成时。

第二题 was starting ，我刚刚完成工作，正要take a shower，语义上很通，和问句的过去进行时也呼应的比较好。b选项would 后面不是用动词原型吗，怎么可能用started呢？
