Dear Tom:

How are you going? I was so surprised when I received your letter yesterday! Thanks for your greetings, I am all very well. My parents are well too. But Jimmy, the dog, has recently caught the flu.

You wanted to know about my life as an Year 12 student (注：国外一般把高三称为十二年级）,and I am going to tell you all about it.

Well, Year 12 is certainly busier than Year 11, for starters. Although my main academic focus is in Physical Educations, it doesn't mean that I just run around all day playing basketball. There is a lot of theories on sporting and health. But I still enjoy it a great deal. All my other subjects are going smoothly too, except for Maths, which has always been my weakest subject.

Despite being busy at school, I can still find sometime to socialise. I have come to realise that making a couple of good friends when you are young is just as important as doing well at school. And guess what? I already have a whole bunch of them! Don't you feel proud of me?

Right, I have to hold it here for now, it is nearly time for me to start that essay on "The effects of alcohol on the body".
