3.Use the sales journal , the cash receipts journal, and the accunts receivable subaidiary ledger . manual accounting system use special journals to record transctions by category .Credit sales are recorded in a sales journal, and cash receipts in a cash receipts journal. Posting goes to the general ledger and to the accounts receviable subsidiary ledger, which lists each customer and the amount receviable from that customer .The accounts receviable subsidiary ledger is main device for ensuring that company collects from customers.
