to 与 for 的用法

一、可同时使用to与for的情况

1、表达原因，目的

for和to都可以用

I went to the supermarket to buy apples

I went to the supermarket for apples

to +动词

for +名词

I moved to London--- learn English

2、表达接受者，接受东西的人

to 表示的是接受者

I made a cake for Jim

I gave the cake to Jim

Jim sold it to Tom

This is for her

给和卖表示的是传递，东西从一个人手里到另一个人手里，从一个地方到另一个地方，用to

做蛋糕是从无到有，没有动作上的传递性，用for

3、表达想要别人做某事（to和fo可同时使用）

I asked her to give me the keys.

I asked her for the keys.

invite some to a party  （社交）

invite someone for dinner  （仅仅是吃饭）

what did you do to him ?  （强调你对他做了什么动作）

I yelled at him.

what did you do for him ?  （强调你为他做了什么，对他有什么好处）

I took his test for him.
