（1）I am Liu Shu-xin.My English name is Stella. I am nine years old. I didn't like English at the beginning. But my father is very clever. I was a gluttonous cat(馋猫)at that time . I always ask him to buy me something good to eat. But he said to me: “I don't buy it for you unless（除非） you recite（背） English words for me.” I had to obey him. He read English stories for me and bought me English VCD stories too. He put up English words on the wall, the doors, the refrigerator and everywhere. We talk in English only. Gradually I began to like English. I always go to English corner to talk with foreigners in the evening. This year I won the Second Award in The 2002 National English Competition For Primary School Students and The Third Award in The First National Oral English Competition For Chinese Youth. As a primary school student ，I have four pieces of advice for you friends to study English. NO.1 You had better take a course in English. You must listen to the English cassettes and read with cassettes loudly. NO.2 You had better read some simple English books such as insect of books (书虫). You only need to know what stories tell. NO.3 You must speak English bravely. NO.4 You should watch some English cartoon films. They are very interesting and the English is original. If you can understand them, you may go to English corner to talk with foreigners. Then you will like English. If like English you will study English well。

Some students are not goodat Englishbecause they think that it
is hard to study . But I do not think so.
Because I think that nothing is impossible if you set your mind
to do it . At first ,I interest in English and listen to teacher
carefully .Every day ,I finish my homework on time .If I meet problems
I will ask the teacher for help . I always listen to teacher carefully
and speak it bravely .Then I can get something new . I usually read
books in English and do some exercises .I keep write diary ,too.
Although I am not good at English ,I like it very much .No matter
how hard it is ,I will never giveup learning English.

In these days, most students' English is not very good, some of them even give up learning English. In my opinion, we should learn English hard. And these are the ways of learning English as follows:
Firstly,keep interested in English,and listen carefully on lecture,and finish homework on time.
secondly,take more listening test,and don't be shame to speek in the croud though there will be some mistakes when you speek. Go to ask teacher when you have somthing do not understand.
And thirdly,read English articles as more as possible, do more exercises,if you write diary usually, you can write it in English as possible as you can. By these ways, you can learn English well.
