是不是只能是prefer to to rather than do,或者prefer sth. rather than doing sth. 而不能是prefer doing sth. rather than doing sth.
2,我在英国卫报上看到一个句子
sb. is doing sth rather than doing sth.
以及 i have done sth. rather than doing sth.
于是我认为
rather than 后面可以接 doing 或 do 或 to to do

2. 所以，sb is doing sth rather than doing sth是正确的，因为前后是对应结构：doing sth；
至于第二个句子，是把have done sth中的sth和后面的doing sth对应的（都是名词性成分），而不是把done sth和doing sth对应。
