linux已经基本算是精通了shell,下面该学python还是perl呢?

perl据说是模块很多很好用,python听说在一些东西的微调还是什么方面的比较有优势.
主要想往系统架构方面发展.

精通 shell 的话学 perl 是非常顺手的，毕竟当初 perl 就是为了替代 awk sed 等 shell 工具的。另外就是看你的发展方向了

推荐python。本人学编程算比较笨的，自学了不少语言，Perl没学会，Python基本掌握，可以编一些小工具。python的一个问题是没有select/case语句，只能用elif代替，比较难看。其实gawk也挺好用的。

至于接下来该学习什么，这真是仁者见仁。这与前几年的该学c++还是学Java的问题差不多。
其实你可以两个都大概看一下，自己喜欢哪个，哪个能更好的解决你的问题，你就学哪个。

至于系统架构方面，感觉与语言没有很大的关系了，不是吗？

我正在研究python 感觉挺不错的。
其实什么语言不重要，关键是思想，我觉得你shell都是精通级别了，那么你学其他的语言应该都很快的

There is no demand for a linux user to master python, which is much more the case when the problem you try to tackle is more computational expense. Simulation in python is extremely slow, often nearly two magnitude slower than Fortran or C. Although programs in python are always much more readable, enabling us to learn it easily and program fast, its applications are quite limited by the speed of the job running. However, perl is a more universal language, which is often used together with linux shell. But neither languages is must-learn ones and of less universality compared with C (and Fortran in scientific research). Whatever, the languages to learn depend on your interests and the chances you encounter them.
Learning programming language needs both time spent on reading books and others' programs and experience of writing codes by yourself.

If you want to learn python, reading only one book demonstrating the basic usage of python is enough. Then you can visit various forums and sites to enhance your skills and gain some experience. As the normal python, the official one is really slow, you should also learn something about Pypy for speeding up.
