Listening is a important aspect of pepole's communication,as well as a significant access to English study.Students who major in English of adult education often affect by culture ,mentality,pronunciation, vocabulary,structure and semanteme in the prosess of listening comprehension practice.So this article focus on the difficulty and factors that affect adult education students`listening coprehension .It also go along some analytical investigation and expound to some efficient method for this students:attention the periodic of the listening study;strengthen the Micro-skill`s training;pay attention to the training of listening strategy;pay attention to the listening study combining with other skills learning;make full use of modern equipment and learning conditions for five specific strategies.

Listening,which is vital to people’s language communication, is also one of the important portals for English learning. It often happens to junior college English majors accepting adult education, that when they have listening comprehension practice, they may be affected by obstacles from background knowledge, mental effect, pronunciation, vocabulary, syntax and semantic, etc. Therefore, this paper is focus on the analysis and research of the English listening difficulties and also of the factors influencing listening efficiency, hence to figure out the following five effective advices for english majors of adult education to improve their listening level: regarding the step-by-step English listening study, paying attention to train micro-skills and strategies of English listening, combining listening study with other skills study, and taking full use of modern equipments and infrastructure for study, so that to improve English listening level.

This paper aims at applying lexicology, semantics and pragmatics to the analysis of the flexibility and indefinity and emotionality and open-ended property which lexical connotation shares to clarify the view that the connotation of a word, in English teaching, can be restricted, determined and comprehended according to textual context, paralinguistic context or non-linguistic context, In the meantime, to relate the important role a culture, especially, the common culture constituting part of the culture plays an important role helping students comprehend lexical connotation and the basic approach to the cultural acquisition, which promotes the cultivation of their cross-culture awareness
