Dogs

favourite
animal.As
I
am
the
only
child,I
thought
a
dog
would

nice
companion
for
me.
Unfortunately,
my
parents
were
reluctant
to
get
me
a
pet.They
kept
saying
that
it
was
a
heavy
reponsibility
to
keep
a
dog.It
needs
careful
attention
and
caring.My
parents
felt
that
I
was
not
ready
for
a
pet
yet.After
months
of
pestering
and
urging,my
efforts
were
finally
rewarded.
I
was
given
an
Australian
Terrier
for
my
birthday.
It
was
only
two
months
old
and
was
very
playful.
I
had
endless
fun
and
excitement
with
my
new
pet.I
bathed
it
twice
a
week
and
took
it
for
a
walk.Later,I
began
neglecting
my
dog.It
was
a
lot
of
work
and
a
bother
at
times.My
dad
was
annoyed
because
it
started
to
smell
as
I
had
not
bathed
it
for
some
time.
Finally,
my
parents
were
forced
to
give
my
dog
away.I
had
little
complaints
because
i
realised
the
reponsibility
of
owning
a
pet.Perhaps
when
I
am
older
and
more
capable,I
may
own
a
dog
again.
